Media Composer 4 on MBP 2.2 GHz?
Hi,
Will Avid Media Composer 3 or 4 run on a MacBook Pro with an Intel Core Duo 2.2 GHz processor? The AVID website lists MacBook Pro 2.16, 2.33 and 2.4 GHz, 15″ display models as qualified Apple notebooks for AMC but not the 2.2 GHz, 15″ display model.
MBP 2.2 GHz
Dual Core Intel
2 GB RAM
128 MB NVidia GeForce 8600M GT
OSX 10.5.8Also, would upgrading my graphics card to 250 MB make any difference?
Any experience or advice with this specific hardware configuration will be very much appreciated!

If anything, your RAM sounds low to me. Other than that, why not download the 30-day trial version and see if it works?
I’ve read on the Avid forums that since there usually is little difference between Apple models of the same series, as long as the graphics cards match up to the specified ones, you generally should be OK. You might want to drop your question on the Avid Community forums as well, lots of folks who might be able to tell you more from first-hand experiences.
