    Hi there,

Does anyone have any idea how I can get Media Composer 3.5 to work along side a Digidesign MBox2? I’m using a pc running Windows XP and it’s software-only, so no Mojo etc. The MBox is supposed to be the only thing that would help me bring in voice over (via USB) from an XLR condenser microphone (with phantom power), but as soon as I get Media Composer to recognise the MBox2 the whole thing freezes up and not only does Audio Punch not work, but I can’t even play anything. I have had to resort to unplugging the MBox so that on booting up, the Avid is unaware of it’s presence and functions normally. Except that I need to bring in sound from the mic.

I’ve uninstalled Media Composer, installed Protools LE8, then reinstalled Media Composer but same story. Can anyone help?

    Dan

Don’t know if you solved problem yet but getting your MBox 2 to work propperly de-install your Digidesign audiodrivers in your control panel. Then install pro-tools LE version 7.4 (only works with MC)everything should be fine

    good luck regards,

No still had no luck, but I already tried LE version 7.4 and that didn’t work either. Digidesign loaded LE version 8 (which I have) with their MC version 3.5 on a PC with XP and they were fine – I can’t understand it.
