Media Composer 3 minimum requirements
I’m a senior in college and I’m thinking of buying avid so I can get experience with it before I start applying for jobs in a few months. I know that the website says I don’t meet the minimum system requirements, but I don’t have the money to upgrade my computer so I was wondering if anyone knows whether Avid will run on my system considering that I won’t be doing full projects in the more processor heavy formats. This is my system:
PowerPC G5
Dual 2.0 Ghz processor
1.5 Gb RAM
ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card
20″ 1680×1050 MonitorThanks for any info you can give me.

That will work fine. I installed it on that model and was able to capture DV and work with P2 without issue. I even got it working on a Powerbook G4. But I wouldn’t recommend that. The G5 is fine.
