Media clips randomly turning black and disappearing

I’ve also had issues with this. What I find is if I’m working in any form of DNX then these black clip issues don’t occur.
But as with the previous post messages about QuickTime I get these black clips a lot. Sometimes I can restart and its fine, but most times the clips are lost. So I either manually match back in or export New QuickTimes from my NLE and place them on a new track over the black clip.
This is a work around but annoying.

This happens whether or not it’s from a SAN or stand alone drive, Read / Write enabled or just read, full media or consolidate.

So there’s obviously an issue here which I’ve raised with BM. I’m still on V9 and not ventured to 10 yet, but sounds like the issues still persists. Any other ideas let us know.

I was having this same problem, but I figured out that someone had messed with the drive’s folder structure. Once I reassembled it, all my clips came back when i loaded the project again.
