  Media Card Slot won’t accept media card

  I have a JVC GY-HYM850 which has been working perfectly until yesterday, when when without reason Slot A would not accept a media card. The card would not go all the way down to the point where it was recognized by the camera and you felt the card latch in. Slot B works fine (thankfully). I called JVC service and they said I would have to send it to California for service which would take between two to four weeks. The camera is out of warranty…so my question is…is there anywhere in New England (preferably in Massachusetts, NH or RI where I could bring the camera for service for this particular matter? It still records fine in Slot B and I would just hate to lose it for up to a month because of a faulty media card slot. Does anyone know of anywhere…or if there something I might have accidentally done to cause this which can be undone with relative ease by making some adjustments in the menu?
