Moments ago, I launched FCP X 10.0.7. I also went into the event folder to see what had been transcoded. I went back to FCP X and all of the media went offline. I went back to the finder and the entire event folder was gone and about a minute later a fresh new one was created.

Any ideas? There’s nothing in my trash by the way.

I turned off spotlight (it keeps reindexing) much earlier this morning and FCP X had not been affected (even after two computer retorts) until now.

One thread below this one, there’s a simialr problem happening.

Do you see any consistencies (that is, duplicate Events).

You couldn’t have deleted it as OSX won’t let you delete anything that is being used by an open programme.

I am certain I didn’t delete anything, but can’t explain how the entire folder just disappeared and was replaced with a fresh event in the Finder and in FCP X. I was in FCP X, did a “reveal in finder” on a clip, and it went nowhere. I checked and the entire event folder was gone. Waited a few seconds and a new one appeared.

Tangier, I’ve been experiencing the exact same problem 🙁 I’ve notified feedback about it but have had no word from “Noah” double 🙁

Do you have any automatic processes running anywhere on your machine? Time Machine? Backup software? Anything?

This seems very odd to me.

No I don’t. Nothing that would make this happen. I saw this happen when FCP X first came out, but not since then. That it’s happened to others tells me it’s not just an isolated thing.
