Media 100 transcoders
I have just purchased a new PC for 3d and After Effects work. I have a ton of footage that I have digitized with a Mac-based Vincent card. Is there a transcoder for the PC that will allow me to read these Media 100 files directly.
I have looked around on the Media 100 website and was only able to find a transcoder for iFinish. And yes I tried, but this codec does not allow me to read Mac-based Media 100 files.
Please don’t tell me that I have to render all of these files into another codec before I can use them on my PC?!?!

Okay, so I’ve installed the iFinish codec in the sys32 folder, but everytime I try to import a Media 100 file, After Effects crashes and gives me a runtime error. If I try to open the same file in Quicktime it thinks that it is an audio file, but of course it will not play.
Any ideas?

Oh, joy. So is there a way to load an earlier version of Quicktime onto a new computer?

Are there any plans to update the transcoder? If not, then all legacy media will eventually be unusable! Apple still has 6.5 on its website. Will Quicktime 6.5 work with the transcoder?

The Mac codec does work with QuickTime7, but I doubt that there will be done much work on the iFinish/Win Transcoder.
