Media 100 Export problems on OS 10
I have Media 100i version 8.1.1 which is running on 100 LX W/DV UPG P6000 using a Dual boot Silverline dual 1.25 processor. I have just moved over from version 7.5 on OS 9.2.2 where I had no problems to OS X on 10.3.4. if I upgrade to anything above 10.3.4 my firewire disc crash. However thats anothjer story. When I am in Media 100i and I go to the Export Menu, I can’t change the parameters at all . So I can’t export a still frame or gain access to any of the file options. Will update to 8.2 media 100 correct this problem. I have tried downloading the first and only available update, with no improvement and going to 8.2 will cost. Any Ideas antone else had this problem.

V8.1.1 does not work with OSX 10.3 or later (e.g. export does not work). Either install OSX 10.2.8 or upgrade to V8.2.2; or download Media 100 sw for export on 10.3.9

Hi Floh I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been staring at my new box of Panther 10.3 but have been afraid to install it. I’m on Media 100i 8.21 and everything works great. Are there any potential problems upgrading to OSX 10.3? Will I need to re-install stuff? Thanks as always.

There should be no problems in upgrading to OSX10.3 with V8.2.1 (or V8.2.2). If you are using an SCSI or FibreChannel adapter you should check if there are new drivers or firmware for that; and I think I remember that there were problems with some RAID arrays and 10.3; but a “standard” setup should work fine with OSX 10.3.9, and you will get some nice new features like configurable keyboard shortcuts.
