  • Measuring Scan Lines?

Posted by Berry Helfand on February 14, 2007 at 8:14 pm

I just had a client ask that I make a few lines of text no bigger than “22 scanlines”.

Does anyone know how to measure this in FCP…or anywhere for that matter? I would like to create the text in photoshop, so any suggestions for that app would be appreciated as well.

Sorry if this is a bonehead question, but i’ve just never come across this measurement before.

    thanks.

A TV scanline is the same height as 1 pixel but if you have to measure height of text frequently then you might want to look at our DH_LegalText plug-in which was designed for the purpose.
