MC6 Upgrade OR not?
Is the consensus amongst users that I should or should not upgrade to MC6 YET?
I have the software and the license etc so theres no cost there, BUT to do the upgrade is will have to buy
A new MOBO to support more ram
A new OS (Win 7 XP Pro)
New RAM (thinking 16gig)
New CPU (thinking i7 3,2 gen 2)
total cost about £500.I dont mind spending the money, but as my MC5.5 works pretty well doing everything i want (with the exception of avchd ama access which I want)
is the feeling that MC6 is good, worth the hassle, stable enough yet or should I wait until patches etc have come out.NB My MC is for home use, not an edit house etc.

MC6 is very stable, considering it is a .0-release. Rule of thumb is to upgrade only when there are new features you need, and not rely on .0-releases for mission critical operation.

Think Ill just stay put then for the time being.

Dont you need windows.7 on the windows.side
