Simple question (I hope). If I offline a project in MC6 can I open the project in an Avid running older (5.0 or 5.5) software to conform and on-line?

Also can you offline on a Mac and then switch to a PC to online by relinking . I would think creating a new project and importing the bins would be the best option or is AAF the way to go.

Please point me to a discussion as I am sure this second question has been covered before

The only caveat would be AMA-linked clips. You won’t even need to relink or AAF when moving between Mac and PC, I do it all the time, with entire projects.

i just cut a sequence in 6.0 and opened it in another suite running 5.5. (not using any ama) Only thing that disappeared were my “tabs” as they of course aren ‘t supported til 6.0. Everything else came in fine.
