Just got two new MB Extremes, which were to go inside two Quad G5s. For some internal reason, I may need to use one with an older G5 that’s not PCI-E. So does one get a PCI-X connector for the MB Ext? Or can one connect the MBExt to an internal HDPro card via SDI in and out?

If one connects the MBExt like that (like an ext convertor) then does one lose the DVI monitoring capability in the MBExt? What other features are lost? Also, where does genlock fo in this case?

I need to install the MBExt to extract embedded audio from HD/SD-SDI as well as to get component video out and occasional composite.
