Is anybody successfully displaying 1080i from the DVI input on Multibridge extreme out of FCP to a SONY Bravia 46 Inch. Are there any audio Sync Issues?

We had the Sony Bravia 40″ and MB extreme, we never could get DVI to HDMI connection to work properly. We tried working with Blackmagic tech support to resolve the issue, they concluded it was a Sony issue. We then tried a Sharp LCD and a Samsung plasma, neither of those seem to work either. We concluded it was a Blackmagic problem, and since they don’t recognize it as a problem we figured it would never be fixed, so we got a Dell 24″ to connect to the DVI (which works great) and connected the Samsung to the component output.

We found the Sony Bravia had a audio sync issue of about half a second (picture delayed from audio). This is definately a problem with the TV. We tried working with Sony on the problem, but they were clueless.

    Thanks for the Info Jeff,

We have decided to go with the 50″ Panasonic TH-50PF9UK and the HDSDI Terminal board TY-FB9HD. The sync issue is a concern, but we have a better chance of getting it right coming out HDSDI then DVI. Being a pro model we can at least test it. All the sales places selling Bravia, wanted to charge a 20% repacking fee, if we returned it.
