max RAM for AE CS5
Hello,
i know there was a lot discussed already about this, but i can’t really find a proper answer to my question.
so, i’m using i7 920 and 12GB of RAM for AE CS5. now i’m about to buy another 12GB since prices are low these days.my question is, is AE going to use it or not, especially because somethime my render fails with the lack of ram error, but at the render status bar hardly goes over 50% usage, usually it’s arround 15-30%?
does AE use more ram for background processes, even if there’s a limitation of 3gb for each CPU at the settings?
generally, with 24gb and i7 920 with HT on, i’ll be able to use
3gb x 8cpu ram, wich appears to be optimal setting, right?thank for your answers,

After Effects CS5 can and will use as much RAM as you can install in your computer.
