Mavericks OSX 10.9 Upgrade Issue with CUDA 5.5.28 in Davinci Resolve 10

I’m on a mid-2010 MacBook Pro and it too has the No CUDA issue. Can’t just swap out the video card to solve this one. Are you all cool with a MacBook Pro purchased in 2011 being no longer usable 2.5 years later? I’m not!

Simple fix is not installing Mavericks. What gpu do you have on that?

My MacBook Pro has a GT 330M with a scant 256MB of VRAM. But it did do a decent enough job of running Resolve.

I’ve had Mavericks installed for months and quite like it. This is the first thing that has gotten in the way of using it.

What version of Resolve are you using? What version of OSX? What CUDA version? Are you sure your Energy Saver settings are set to not use Automatic Graphics Switching, or if you have this option, that Graphics is set to Higher Performance?

we are still waiting! over the 10.1.1 update fixes DaVinci import XMLFCPX (FCPX 10.1.1) as FCPX runs on 10.9, very practical, 2 soft, 2 systems. please fix it.
I use OpenCL with 10.9 and DaVinci setting … a nice bike with a motor harley ….

This issue compelled me to sign up, and post. It’s been months with no fix, is there any solution in the works? Any indication that NVidia will be adding a driver that will support the GTX570 and the rest of the sub-680 CUDA lineup?

Bought a GTX570 like an idiot because I didn’t realize the issue with Mavericks. Am I better off going back to the ATI HD4870 for now?

Downloaded new cuda driver 5.5.43 this morning and downloaded the new BMD Desktop Video ver 10 and Resolve 10 is now working for me with my GTX 285! While running 10.9.1 very nice.

Does anyone know if the CUDA driver 5.5.43 will work in Premiere and PhotoShop (CS6) when running Mavericks? I’m going to install Mavericks in the morning after I complete a project. I’ll update you guys if no one has beat me to to it.

Hello All,

Great News…… I upgraded to Mavericks and installed CS6 and applied the latest CUDA drivers and BAMB! Everything is working as it should. I’ve already noticed a difference when working on the timeline in Premiere.
