    matte generator question

    On a screen where I have 9 20% scaled different-colored boxes (matte generator – screen looks like a rubik’s cube), some of the boxes (red, orange) have an extending and flickering shadow the same color of the box.

    Is this something that can be fixed by putting a filter on? deinterlace? flicker filter? I tried those and it didn’t make a huge difference.

    any other remedies?

    The first thing I would try is to lower the Saturation level or adjust the Hue on the colors. Red has never been a good color for video.
    Make sure you monitor on an TV set.
