    matte filter?

    On a screen where I have 9 20% scaled different-colored boxes (matte generator), some of the boxes (red, orange) have an extending and flickering shadow the same color of the box.

    Is this something that can be fixed by putting a filter on? deinterlace? flicker filter? I tried those and it didn’t make a huge difference.

    any other remedies?

    Red is NTSC’s most bothersome color. It bleeds like a stuck pig. It could be a saturation issue. Try to tone down to saturation and see if it lessens the effect.
