matrox m-peg 2 iframe codec for mac?
Posted by Lauryn Lukin on October 30, 2014 at 4:04 amHi, we have been using the matrox m-peg 2 iframe codec with great success on our pc machines. Does anyone know of similar codec for mac machines?

October 30, 2014 at 11:13 pmif you were looking for something to use across both platforms, i would choose either avid’s dnxhd codec or quicktime photo-jpeg at a high quality setting (90+).
dnxhd is a constant bit rate codec, similar to matrox’s i-frame codec. photo-jpeg is variable bit rate.
both have very good image quality, dnxhd is standard with newer adobe apps, photo-jpeg has been around forever and is a standard part of quicktime. you probably have both installed already.
