Matrox AVI file import into FCP
Hello COW,
I’ve received some AVI files from an CGI company which I need to take into FCP. The file names say “720p Matrox Uncompressed” but I can’t get VLC or Mpeg Streamclip to convert them for me. I also have Episode 5.2 (not the Pro version) but that won’t open it either. Anyone know where I can get the codec for this?

Hi,
I suspect the official and most reliable answer to your issue would be to buy a Matrox M.Key.
However, for SD stuff at least I have had no problems with the downloadable codec.
for example @ https://matrox-vfw-mpeg-2-i-frame-codec.software.informer.com/

Thanks Chris, but both those seem to be for PC only. Do you know if they have Mac ones anywhere?
