  • Matching skies – Qualifying this seagull on this white/grey sky

    Hello
All new to CC! Realised that I should finally get my own account after reading a lot for a lot of time.
Anyway, I have a delicate problem.

I want to match two shots of seagulls in the sky, where the second one is shot with a much more cloudy sky than the first. I thought a sky replacement would do the trick. But the problem is that I can´t seem to get a proper qualify of the seagull because the colors seems to similar.
Maybe this is the most basic thing to solve, but im kind of new to this and this is my 3rd grading project.

Tips on how to get the seagull separated from the sky? Do I need to make a manual power window maybe?

The footage is from a Canon 7D or Mark2 converted to ProRes422. See attached still.

    Thank you so much!
