Matching Sequence setting to clips
Hello,
Iam trying to sort out the settings of the trailer iam working on, but i started of with a clip with a different setting to the rest and have set the sequence to that, when it asked.
Know that i have done it all i have just noticed that i should of chose to set the sequence to the other clips, is there a way to do this again as i cant seem to just copy the setting over from the clip info. Can i get it so it sets it of another clip like how it asked when you import the first clip..??

What are the properties of the source clips you’d like your sequence to match? Whatever they are, select the sequence, and type cmd+zero to open it’s settings. Then near the bottom of the settings window select the preset that matches the frame rate, codec and frame size that your clips are. There’s a popup there to click on to see the list available to you. You’ll not be able to change the frame rate however. FCP refers to it as the editing time base. If you need to do that however, post back. It’s not as easy as what I just described.

That is what i have been trying to do, but they would match up properly and would result in have black bars on the left and right.
I am wondering if there is a way to do it like when you first import a clip into the timeline where it does it all correctly for you.

Try this… create a new sequence. Put any source clip you want it to match in it. Say yes… Then copy and paste every clip from your first sequence en masse to the new one.
