  • Match Frame to reach to original footage

    Hi
I created a library dedicated only to my sequences (projects) separated from the 2 media libraries.

While I’m editing, I try to match frame (Shift-F) to see the original footage or to access footage shot on the same day, and it goes to alias copied to the sequence library instead of
original footage in the media library.

Is there any work around to reach to the original footage in media library?

It’s such a pain to manually finding the footage in media library.

Does everyone keep everything in one library even if the footage is huge amount?

    Thank you in advance.

A single Library is designed to hold everything from one project. So you’d be better off placing your projects into a specific Event or Smart Collection within the Master Library instead of slicing it up like that. There’s not a way to cross-reference Libraries otherwise.

    Noah,
    Thank you for your insight.
    I will consolidate then.
I just thought it might be less heavy but I guess compiling them into one library make things simple…

    Thank you.
