  • match colors of a jpeg to video

    Hello-
I am trying to match a jpegs color to video footage. Tried using Macth Hue, but I have to try and match colors individually. Don’t know if a method or plugin exists but I want to see “OK here are the RGB and levels for the jpeg, copy them to the video and viola!” any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Tony,

Import the Jpeg into FCP, butt it up to the footage.
Select the frame viewer and select current frame & next edit. This will show you both side by side.

Do a rough colour correction using the split

Flip between the two & adjust by looking at the waveforms
Maybe use RGB balance & look at the RGB parade on the scopes.

    Try that for starters.

    Peter
