Match C100 flat color profile to Pro Lost on DSLRs
Hey Everyone,
Our company shoots primarily weddings, and we have multiple teams that go out using a mix of both Canon C100s and DSLRs (5d mkiii, mkii, 60d and 7d).
We are trying to adjust our camera settings so that we achieve a flat color profile like Pro Lost on both the DSLRs and the C100s. We want to make it so that in post, an editor can just apply one S curve, and one saturation preset across all the footage to bring everything up to a good level of contrast and saturation.
The problem is that trying to get Pro Lost settings to translate to the C100s becomes difficult with so many options for customization when creating a custom color profile in the C100s. The cinema and wide dynamic range just don’t match Pro Lost on a DSLR.
Additionally, we would like to avoid using a color profile like Cinestyle because when we go to rent cameras we don’t want to have to mess with the rented cameras to get the color profile on there. We’d like the process to be as simple as possible for any shooter to pick up the camera and know exactly how to set the color profile.
Is there a good solution?
