Mastering XDCAM HD 35 Mb/sec. from Vegas 7.0 to BWU-100A.
Does anyone know if you can write 35 Mb/sec. MPEG 2 files from the Sony XDCAM HD to the BWU-100A Blu-Ray burner? Editing would be as native files in Vegas 7.0. If so, what application can do this?

Scenarist says it has a BD authoring platform but it is not ready yet. I guess the short answer is No…not at this point. 🙂

Thanks Eric, I’ll check out Scenarist from time to time, I’ve just ordered the camera, still have to get Vegas, the Blu-Ray burner, and then I need to shoot and cut a long form project that has to be mastered to the 50 GB media! So I’ve got a while before I need the capability, until I have a long form project I can always just master back to the camera and retain the 35 Mb/sec that way.

Ulead claims to have a BDAV formatter/burning app for $40. It’s prosumer oriented, but worth a look.
