Master Template problem
Hello all,
I’ve been having trouble with Master templates. I’ll go to the sequence menu, Add Master Template, pick the one I want, but when I double-click to bring it into the viewer, there’s nothing there, it’s just black. Yet I know it’s there because the Controls tab has the text field field, allowing you to make changes, but there’s nothing to make changes TO. The same thing happens when I create a template for myself in Motion and bring it over to FCP…the thumbnail plays, but when I load it, the text itself does not appear.
Any thoughts?

Sounds to me like an install gone awry. Best fix is to wipe your hard drive after backing it up, and reinstall the OS, update it all the way, then install Studio, and update it all the way.
You should do this on a regular basis if the machine is a busy one. At least every 9 months or so, and any time you upgrade your OS, or upgrade to a new version of Studio.
