  • Masks for Master Clips in Premiere Pro?

    Hi there,

I have a green screen project in which I am using many of the same clips in Multicam sequences, basic animations with motion, nested sequences and regular cuts. I wished to key out the green and mask out the unwanted items in frame to the Master Clips, so that when I use them in various timelines and Multicam sequences the key and mask is already applied.

I have found a way to chroma key, scale and position my Master Clips. The final piece of the puzzle is to apply the garbage matte / mask. But currently the only way I can see to do this is in the timeline, bringing up the clip that is in the sequence and using the pen tool in the opacity drop down – is there a way I can get a mask onto my Master Clips rather than having to draw the bugger out each time that clip appears in my timeline?

    Many thanks,
    Dan
