    Hi!

I tried the tutorial on https://www.videocopilot.net/videotutorials/graffiti/index.htm and then to extend it by using the stroke effect for some kind of “Indiana Jones map effect”.

I have a map of Ireland and I start in Dublin. So I started to create a set of bezier curves like in the tutorial to cover the way we traveled. We started in the east. Then we went south, south west, then up to the north and back to Dublin (east). So far so good 🙂 I animated the “mask” (path) like in the tutorial but the path starts to appear in the west – not in the east where I began! Is there some way to tell AE to start at the first created point of the path/mask and not somewhere else?

    TIA!

    Thomas

If I’m picturing what’s happening correctly, this section of After Effects Help might help: ” Designate the first vertex for a Bezier path”

Select the vertex on the path you want to be first, right click it and select Mask>Set First Vertex.
