I have a few shots of a Dance Studio with overhead fluorescent lights. I want the dancer to enter and turn on the lights and I only want one row of lights to turn on. Unfortunately, only real settings turns all lights. Any ideas on how to turn off lights I don’t want on? I tried a mask with a ramp effect, but that didn’t work.

    Thanks,

This is unclear to me- you are talking about real lights or AE lights?

Real lights. I tried drawing a black mask around the area I would think the lights that were off would affect, but that didn’t look right.

I ended setting some flourescent floods at 13′ height and positioned them so it looked like they were coming down from a single long bulb in the ceiling. Just started editing so I’ll see how it comes out.

    Thanks.
