Mask shape in Photoshop 5
OK, this is something that I would normally do in Apple Motion. In fact, other than photo retouching, or video prep work for stills, I rarely ever use Photoshop any more as I find the tools in Motion to be more clear to me as a designer than PSD. Sad, huh?
What i need to do is have a shape that masks a map. I’ve been hitting a brick wall, because whenever I get a mask in PSD, it reveals the map in the shape of the mask, but I need it the other way around. What I want is the shape to “cut” out the map. For instance, I make the shape of a circle, the shape cuts out a whole in the map, but if I need to adjust the shape (move it, resize it) I can without physically cutting the map.
I’ve watched 4 tutorials now and all of them do the same thing, use the shape to reveal instead of cover. Help!
