Mask Has No Effect
Hi, very simple question I can’t seem to find an answer too. The mask tool has stopped working for existing layers. I can make a new layer in the comp and mask it but if I copy old layers to new comp mask’s still don’t have any effect.

some effects cause masks to be ignored, do any of the old layers that you are copying have effects on them?
if you are doing copy/paste form one comp to another, what happens if you drag an old layer from the project window into a new comp and try to add a mask?
