Newbie at this…I add an effect (from Demolition Films) to a new video timeline and everything works perfectly except while the Sony Generator Mask does cause the black background to become transparent it washes out all the colors in the effect clip. I’m stumped, how can I make the effects original colors remain?

First, is the clip (effect) from Demolition an uncompressed clip, with embedded alpha? If so, you don’t need the Mask Generator.
If you are using the Mask Generator, are you keying on Luma, or color channels?
    Is it a 16-235 clip or a 0-255 clip?

Thanks for the response….I think I figured it out, probably the long way of dealing with it but I used the eye-dropper in Chroma Keyer and it successfully removed the black background.

I believe your working with an alpha channel clip from Demo-Films. A much better and cleaner way is to click the event (clip) properties and select straight alpha.
