  • Marking and filling audio gaps?

Is there a way to mark ins and outs for a gap on audio tracks only? For example, I have video on trk 1, gaps on a1 & a2, and audio on a3 &a4. If I park the playhead over the gaps on a1 &2 , with auto select on for only a1 &a2, and then hit the x key, I get what look like half marks on the timecode line – half triangles with a red line in between them, at the desired in and out points. But a three point edit won’t work – I get an “insufficent content for edit” message. What do those marks mean?

    It works for me.

Did you remember to turn “off” the video track before you tried the audio only edit?

Do you have the “Auto Select” buttons active only on the track(s) you are working on?

The “triangles” are just HALF of the regular ‘In’ and ‘Out’ marker icons.
They indicate you have marked a “hole” in the track.

Duh. It would help if I loaded enough footage in the canvas to actually fill the hole, he wrote sheepishly. Nevermind.
