Normally markers on the timeline move with the video when I cut out some material or add some material.
all of a sudden the markers do not lock to the video.

Can someone tell me how to reverse this?

They only move if you INSERT EDIT or if you INSERT PASTE. Overwrite edit, or basic paste won’t make them move.

Well yes that is how it used to be.

But all of a sudden it just stopped doing it.

I guess I should try a preference dump, then.

I was just assuming that I had somehow hit the right series of keys to change it.

But if YOU don’t know how to make this happen, I am confident that there are no such key sequence that can do it.

I am still in FCP 7

    thanks for the info.
