hi to all the AE family
i’m looking for a way to be able to make an opacity change in every layer, that will begin at the in point.
the layers are imported from Premiere, so if i mark the timeline in Premiere the markers will show in the Comp as Comp markers at the in point of each layer.
i want it to be with expressions so i can import a different set of Slides for every project.
if anyone here can point me the essentials or have some examples i will be gratefull.
    thanks,
    tzur

Your post is a little vague, but this expression should ramp opacity from 0 to 100 over a one-second period starting at the layer’s in point:

    linear(time,inPoint,inPoint+1,0,100)

Maybe that will get you started.

    thanks dan.
    i’ll try it.
also, correct me if i’m wrong, i can use this expression to ramp down the opacity at the end point if i change the inPoint to outPoint and substruct 1 second. am i getting it right?

    Yes, it would be:

    linear(time,outPoint-1,outPoint,100,0)
