Hi, I’m somewhat new to Sony Vegas Pro. Is there a way to show that video files in the project media, specifically subclips, that are already in use in the timeline? As my project grows, I want to avoid using the same clip again in the timeline. Thank you.

If you look in the Project Media and switch to the Details view, you will see a column called “Use Count”. This will tell you how many times the media has been used. You can even drag the columns so that Use Count is closer to the media name (for example). I use this all the time.

Thanks John… that did the trick, and moving the column over makes it easier to determine at a glance. While I’m here, I just want to personally thank you for your years of assistance here. I’ve relied on your answers to others many times before. Your servitude has been invaluable.
