  • Mark or Subclip While Capturing

I would like to subclip or mark a clip on the fly during capture. I know I can apply markers while logging and I know I can use DV Start/Stop Detect, but neither of these serve my specific purpose. Is there a way to simply hit a key while capturing to leave a mark at that point in the clip?

If you can find a copy of Discreet Edit*(end of lifed ten years ago) and a suitable computer on which to run it, you’re made in the shade.

However, on the fly while capturing in FCP doesn’t fly…

You must’ve been a user of (insert any edit app but FCP here) in the past!

Leaving me with, I suppose, unreasonable expectations (you should see the list).

Ranting alone here in my edit room,

Seems like it was only yesterday… It’s been years gone by now.
