    Hi,

I have a project in which I need to have a lot of ball-like 3d layers to the shape of a cylinder. They need to be 2 kinds of objects which act differently when the cylinder dissipates into its layer-elements which wander off an disappear or the others should stick to certain places.

Now I wonder if I can do this with Particular or a Particle emitter that emits to a cylinder shape and then gets torn up via a gradient layer or turbulent field…
Any hints on how to do that or if it needs to be animated by hand for each layer… I guess I can arrange my layers with a tool like planespace or echospace and then do the animation by hand… but that will be load of work?!?!

Thanks for any hints in advance… maybe the expression experts have some hint where to save time?
