  • Manually adding Audio Keyframes in Media Composer 3.1?

Posted by Evan John on October 25, 2008 at 4:45 pm

Hi – I am used to manually adding audio key frames in Avid Xpress. I am currently working on an Avid MC 3.1 machine, and I do not see any key frame options in the Command Palette, or on the Keyboard Settings.

Did Avid get rid of this for 3.1? Is Auto Key Frames my only option now?

The default Keyframe keyboard shortcut on Media Composer is the “n” key. Open you keyboard settings to see if it’s mapped. If it’s not, it’s in the Command Palette, but I can’t remember under what tab (not in front of a system).

Also, in your Timeline Fast Menu turn your Auto Gain and Clip Gain settings on. That way you can manually set your keyframes to your audio clips.

Thanks…I must be going blind. It is in the FX tab of the command palette.

Just for the record, I doubt you’re in MC 3.1. Probably 3.0.1.
