I’m a beginning user of Premier Pro CS6 and have been working with small, “toy” projects while learning. I understand that being organized through the good use of bins, naming of assets, and use of search can help to manage and quickly locate assets in a project.

But what about really large projects where the final sequence will contain say 1000s of video and audio clips and graphics? Are there any tricks which can be used to somehow break up the task of building the final project sequence into the task of building multiple smaller sequences and then somehow assembling those sequences into the final sequence for the project?

Curious as to how this is done on a large project with CS6.

I have constructed an online edit of a full length movie in Premiere CS6 that has a lot of dpx-sequences and HDV footage in it. I’ve had no problems with it. You’ll probably want a pretty fast RAID-array for the footage though.
