  Managing brightness in a shot in Premiere?

  I am working to get out of Avid-think into Adobe-think.

  I have a shot with foreground talent and background wall with a logo sign. The sign is a little hot.

  In Avid, I would have dropped a paint effect on the clip, drawn a shape, feathered, and set it to “darken”. Done.

  I am betting it is just as easy to do in Premiere (or AE) but I am just missing the boat on the technique.

  Can you help me get kick-started on the basic process?
