  • Making text appear one word at a time

I’ve seen the effect a million times, but I don’t know the tools to make it happen. I want the text to appear on the screen one word at a time. I am not looking for the crawl effect, I want all text to remain on the screen. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I believe After Effects offers this effect. In Premiere, there are ways to fake it. Create a different Title page for each word, and stack them on the timeline with staggered starts. If using few words (one line of text) you could use the CROP effect with keyframes to reveal words one at a time.

If you have a page full of text, then neither of these methods would be very useful though

Yes, After Effects can do this easily. If you ask this on the After Effects forum, we can help you there.
