Using a clip of a gun pointed directly at the camera, is it possible to make a Laser Blast (using the laser beam emitter) appear like its getting bigger as it closer to the camera.

The clip has a man thats like 20 feet away from the camera and is pointing at the the viewer. So the laser blast needs to be small to match the depth/distance of the man/gun and then as it gets closer to the camera get bigger and bigger until it envelopes the lens.

    Any ideas?

Three things you can try to adjust are:
-Size over Life, so that the particles start off tiny and get much, much bigger. You may need to adjust the Size along with this so that you get the right final blast size.

-Velocity, lower it so that rather than travelling across the screen, the particles hardly move at all and the Size over Life gives the impression that the blast is moving

-Life, which you’ll probably need to lower so that the particles don’t take too long to go from the gun to the screen.
