Making keyframed effects instant.
I keyframed a blur effect multiple times in a really small period of time, but the blur effect fades from one stage to another instead of being instant. I need it to be instant because I am doing it with the beat of a pretty fast song.

If you two keyframes are one frame apart, you should have in instant effect. It may or may not play back in the timeline in real time, unless you render.
System:
Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
Win 7 64-bit
32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2014 (as of 7/2015)
256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from HD MP4 and P2 MXF. -
It’s not exactly 1 frame apart, but they are pretty close together. If I render it and it still is not instant, what would you suggest I do? Thanks

As previous poster already said you need two keyframes 1 frame apart to get instant you want.
