    Hi,

I wish to upload my entire DVD to my website so people can download it menus and all. Firstly is this possible? Secondly where can I find a tutorial to do this if it’s not as straight forward as I imagine?

    Thanks in advance,

I guess you can create a direct link to an image of your DVD.

    I hope this helps

    Thanks Fernando,

Is it really that easy? Do I just bundle a file full of VOBs onto the server and hyperlink it? Is this what people do?

Well, there are other options, but that’s the simplest one.

You can create a torrent for your DVD, but if a few people are going to download it that probably wouldn’t make a difference.

Or you can use an FTP link like this one:

    <a href="ftp://www.yoursite.com/ftp/yourfile.exe">Download the file</a>

    hello…

what fernando is saying is (as always) spot on – i’ll just add that you should just make a single image of your dvd file – these are a digital file that anybody can take and just burn to a dvd, and it will have all the original presentation material in it…

    here’s an article on that:

Funny but we just did this for a client and that’s exactly what we did. Create image files and the client just puts links on the pages. They even created cover art the visitor can download and print to a DVD label. Now I don’t know who sits and downloads 2 or 3GB then burns their own DVD and prints their own label, but I suppose people do.
