Video Filter > Color Corrector 3-Way

Adjust the “Whites” and “Mids” UP a bit.
Then adjust the “Blacks” DOWN a bit.
You may need to adjust the “Sat” (Saturation) after ypu decide on the levels

This will take a lot of time as any ONE adjustment will interact with the OTHERS.

Once you get the filter to look the way you want it, you can save it as a “Favorite” and/or “drag” this filter to the Browser so you can use it again as needed.

Depending on your actual footage, you may be able to use the shadow/highlight plugin that’s free from Lyric. https://www.lyric.com/index.htm I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s supposed to increase the brightness in the shadows without making it look washed out. I’ve used similar plugins for Photoshop before.

    Thanks,
    Gary
