Making an image disipate in a particular direction
Posted by Michael West on June 30, 2010 at 5:01 amI have footage of the ocean coming on shore.
I want to add the image of a footprint, which, when the water goes out, dissolves/dissipates in the direction of the retreating water.
Is there a way to accomplish this?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

June 30, 2010 at 12:39 pmYou could do this with either the ParticleMetrix plugin, or one of the techniques for breaking up an image described by Patrick Sheffield in his book “How To Cheat In Motion”.

Thanks for the help.
Is the trial watermarked when used?
At this point the project is a one-off for a local theater company and the purchase of the Idustrial products is not yet on the horizon (a bigger computer is the first priority).

June 30, 2010 at 2:56 pmYes, I believe no water mark. But after 15 days it kicks in.

Also, in order to use it you need to use Noise Industries so you will end up with a ton of plug-ins. You can disable all of the ones you don’t want so you don’t have a billion plug-ins in your filters folder. Best of luck.
