    Hi all,

I have an image of the US Capitol which is 3872 x 2592. And I’m scaling from 19% to 48% over 4:06 seconds and the zoom isn’t very smooth. It sort of pulses as it pushes in.

Is there any trick or “Rule of Thumb” as to how to smooth something like this out.

    Thanks!
    -Rob

    thanks

First off, you may want to reduce the size of the image by 50% since you only require 48% of its current size. Secondly, try switching on Motion Blur. Thirdly, if these don’t help, then check your pixels/sec in the Graph Editor. Unless it is very low, you shouldn’t have any issues.

Ah, also remember to check that the layer is set to Best Quality.

will what Roland R. Kahlenberg said is 100% true…

but if u want u can even select the scale key frames and right click on
any key frame you would get Exponential scale click on that option to get the smooth scaling

For more information on Exponential scaling you can watch Earth Zoom tutorial of Andrew Kramer….

    hope you got the point……
