    hiya everyone

i got a police car which is just a still psd layer..i created a small background/environment which is in the dark at night..

i’ve added red and blue lights for the police car but the car just seems a bit stuck on the screen like asticker or something. i’ve tried playing around with some colour correction but im just ending up massing effects on top of eachother to get the result that could be done much simpler im guessing..

so basically the question is are there any good tutorials or tricks on how i can mess about with the colour/shadows and so on, of the car, to make it look like part of the scene?

here is andrew kramer’s day to night tutorial. it’s not exactly what you’re looking for but it is a good tutorial, and i think you can use some of the techniques he shows to bring realism to your project.
