    Hi All,
I am trying to get different colors onto a text animation so they match my logo, but it seems that I can only make the text one color. And I could make the text edible and do it, but then I lose the animation.

So is there a way to make the text different colors without making them editable or a way to make the text editable and not lose the animation?

If anyone knows the answer to either of those questions would help me.
It’s getting to the point in this project, where I am getting beyond my limited knowledge of this program.
    Thanks in advance…Ian
    PS I’m on R19

there are maybe a few ways to approach it. Maybe simply use a gradient texture with knots in the right place and flat projection to colour each letter individually (sort of). may not work with animation though…

Or add a correction deformer, in poly mode make a selection tag for each letter then bin the deformer and use the tags for a separate material per letter.

There’s a shader called multi shader or mograph shader or something that you can add to a layer shader to use the index of an object to change colours too, works on mograph objects.

Thanks, Andy very much for the reply. I wound up going back to the letters I created and edited and then beveled each one separately and it worked out.

    Thanks again for the response…
